Konami, founded in 1969 in Japan, rose to be a formidable video game developer and publisher (in addition to their other business interests) in the mid 80's. Developers and publishers of loved franchises such as Castlevania, Metal Gear, and Contra, nowadays the company is sadly more focused on its Pachinco machines than their video games.
