Metal Fatigue?

Very tiny guys in the mechs, transforming mechs can fly. Bases on islands floating in the sky. Three factions.

Is top-down as from straight above, or slanted/isometric view? Any puzzle things, or just pushing opponents? Single player vs computer or vs human player/s? Possibly the F8 cheat only works for the DOS demo.
(Playtesting and comments from Ross's Game Dungeon (youtube channel) about this game indicates it will not work in the full Windows game)

I don't think it really fits the description, but the game 'Arcanum: Of Steamworks & Magick Obscura' starts with an airship being shot down by some ogres(?) in airplanes. I noticed in the images from Mr Flibble also issues with umlaut-characters in the menu bar, maybe the unpacking did not work correctly for those, or it is just a display thing on the PC used to run it?

So the gameplay seems a bit similar to Checkers or GO where you want to enclose or take over the opponents markers, but here with buildings instead?
