A game called "Lockout" exists. See screenshot to confirm.
That's a game that graphically looks similar to Jezzball called "Maxwell's Maniac". See screenshot:

Sounds like "Lode Runner: The Legend Returns". In this
picture, you can see the 2 players with Silver and Blue shirts respectively and the enemies in red hoods and the gold for collecting.
Don't seem to know any other game besides that which can fit your description.

Earliest non-dos RPG game, that would have to be on consoles even earlier than the earliest computers (eg Apple II). Not sure of this is accurate RPG 1979 . That's the oldest according to that site. A number RPG dos games could find their roots in earlier systems (even on Apple II, even before on At...

Re: Not sure if it's pure DOS or just early windows, but...
The first was a little maze/puzzle game, very simple graphics, called Ki. Unfortunately, plugging that into google yields pretty much no useful results. But you were this little green ball, and had to collect diamonds. It was actually quite challenging. I remember playing it on Windows 3.1. You mis...

Not sure of your idea of mining game but since you mentioned that there is Lemmings feel to it, there was 1 side-scroller which was made which Lemmings feel i.e. The Adventures of Lomax. It was by the same publisher as Lemmings. Check out the screenshots to see if it is the game you are looking for.
