Side-view point-and-click educational'ish PC game.

I'm looking for an older game I used to play in school, back in 1997-1999. I don't know when the game itself was actually from though.

It was a side-view point-and-click game, for PC.
It could be considered a bit educational, I don't remember there being any threats of any sort.
It had 2d graphics, and graphically speaking, it looked a bit like this game.

You would play as a boy, and go around town. It took place in modern times.
You start of in your bedroom in your house, and I remember you could turn off the lights.
The only other settings I can recall is a farm in the town. I remember it had sprinklers that could be turned on.
I'm pretty sure you could pick-up items.
