Network Games

Post by blank0 »

Hello,

I am really into playing games over our in-house network at the moment.

Can anybody suggest some great games in dosgames.com that have
ipx/spx or some other way to play them over the network?

thanks

Hmm...I'm not sure if the shareware versions have network capabilities, but if they do:

Doom
Rise of the Triad
Duke Nukem 3D

Just look on the 3D Shooters page. Those are where the best network games are.....

Does the original Jazz Jackrabbit have network capabilities or is it just the second that does?

Goat:The demos support Network play

Blank:Get Blood, or Quake. Both are Badass in Multiplayer.

Well, after playing quake a few times over IPX with my friend, I now know that Quake is the best Multiplayer game so far. Duke3D, Blood, and Shadow warrior come close behind, though (since Shadow Warrior has vehicles  )

Warcraft has it in the full, but sadly not the demo. However the game itself is well worth it. Buy it.

DOOM Legacy (although not DOS, it makes Multiplayer/LAN much easier w/ doom.)

I find using Doom '95 easier for Multiplayer, although the game itself isn't as good as Legacy.

True, it has a much easier interface. But legacy is worth the trouble.
