Relax, people, and take it easy. Rest assured and comforted with these few verses below:
1 Thessalonians 4:15 to 4:17
For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together wth them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
Comfort

sorry, but i'm an atheist, i don't need to believe in such things. i hope you'll understand my point of view, but i think that "the afterlife" is exactly this: comfort. people want to believe they'll always be safe and secure, and even when they die they will be happy and doing something they like. To be honest, i don't need that sort of stuff, especially in GCSE year when i have 3 hours of homework per night. I just see all ideas of "life after death" as being another way to make people sleep better at night and let them continue unhealthy lifestyles.
