Looking for DOS spaceship "sim" game

Post by [email protected] »

Hi folks,
I'm looking for an old DOS based game- "Star" or "space" something.
You start off in a space station, pick/create your crew (something like 4 races) and then enter your ship where you move from star system to star system, landing on planets and picking up different items/minerals to sell back at the station so that you can upgrade your spaceship.
There were two of these games and both used a spin-wheel system of words you had to match up to enter the game. Can't for the life of me remember the name of the game but i remember spending days playing the sucker.
Any help would be great and much appreciated!
Thanks,
