A Message I got from Interplay

Post by Tweaked700 »

You know that old DOS game I keep asking about? No no, not Privateer, yea that other one, STAR REACH. Well I know, and someone here said it too, that Interplay still sells it via their web site. Well I e-mailed Interplay about the game and this is what I got:

Thanks for the email!

We regret to inform you that the title you are looking for is no longer
in production or available for purchase through us.
Interplay Entertainment Corp. has ceased all manufacturing of that product.
One way you
could get your hands on it is used, perhaps at your local game retailer or
at an online auction.

Thanks and have fun!

So.....does that make the game freeware since the company has blown it off?
If so....um...*thinks how to say this*....... :shifty: COUGHCOUGHwherecanigetitCOUGHCOUGH

That won't make it freeware... The only way to do that is if they give up the Copyrights to it.

We know, but we ain't telling, correct, Dicky-boy? In any case, I would suggest Ebay for that purpose, I've found some games nearly ten years old in brand new condition for, say, 3 bucks there. You should always check there.

speaking of urls and sites w/ the word "dogs" in it - why the heck can't I download stuff off that site? Either I'm totally inept (completely possible) or the "dogs" site hates me (unlikely but still probable - post-matrix and all...) --- caz
