I really don't like them. I've tried so many times to "give them another shot". So many kids have tried to get me into them...Lol.

A bit too "insta-punk" for me. It's like.."Hey look at me, i'm a punk, i have a misfits patch and a DK record...".

I think they are majorly overrated by the "punk" community. They are fair decent i guess. I just don't like them.

theyere actually not overrated. ive found that only random small amounts of people seem to know them and they are just posers

Exactly...like i said, "insta-punk"...The small pockets of people, would be the "punk" community i was talking about. Everyone else doesn't like them, so the "punks" say they do.

true there are other bands who have politically attack lyrics but listening to Dead Kennedys give you an excuse to listen to them during school... to thoise who still are

DK = Dead Kennedy's. They are a "punk" band with quite political lyrics and themes. IMO, not one of the best of their genre...but cyber here seems to like them a fair amount.

dead kennedys own that other crap. they are good because my teachers dont like it and i can pull it off as educational, easy guitar and good random noise when your in the mood

Myea, I like Rise Against. Saw them play not too long ago. I'd say Rise Against are better than DK...not AS strong politically, but yeah.

I really like Frenzal Rhomb as a political punk rock band. They're subtle and not, "Oh look at me. Fuck society. I'm a punk." AND they're Aussies!

Pennywise are another good one, though their lyrics are a little too obvious, and all their songs begin to sound the same. The last show of theirs i went to went off though.

Propaghandi would have to be one of the best political bands. *nod*
