Educational game, using elevators, you may be a robot
I remember playing this game at school on a Mac. You would go up and down elevators/lifts. I think you played a robot (or maybe there were robot enemies). It was also an educational game.

Any of three TLC Super Solvers games fit your description:
Midnight Rescue
Outnumbered!
and,
Mission T.H.I.N.K.
I played all of these games as a kid... actually, I played more or less EVERY TLC game of that era as a kid. Mission T.H.I.N.K. is the sequel to Gizmos and Gadgets, but in MT you fight robots, whereas in G&G you fight chimpanzees. Anyway, I hope one of these games is the right one... if not, say something and I can keep looking.

No, but it gives you a link where you can buy it for only $9.95 US... honestly, it depends on how badly you want to play it. If it's worth an hour's wage for 40+ hours of entertainment for you, then go ahead. If you're only mildly interested in the game and are just thinking about it for nostalgic reasons, then it's probably not worth shelling out 10 bucks.
