Spoiler tags?

We could use some spoiler tags. For the unknowing, anything between the tags becomes invisible, and can become either visible by scrolling over the text or clicking on a + to open the box. The latter form is preferable, so big pictures can go in a spoiler and dosraider won't get all stressed and go bold. Even the former is good for movie/book spoilers. It's a pretty standard tag nowadays ... so, all for?

About the pics, there are thumbs: use them, or resize to smaller ones, or post them huge pics on fok.nl, they love those idiotic things over there.That's because all those Dutch have a small penis, they have to compensate.
Or create your own forum where you can post all you want.
And pay yourself for your needless excessive bandwith use.
Period.

That said, spoiler tags are common on vBulletin boards, I think you need a mod on phpBB.
And we all know by now how handy our <strike>damned</strike> beloved admin is when it comes to implement new stuff.

Hmmmmm, In fact not Larry.
See that's the whole idea behind those spoiler tags, you spoil all for others, so they must know there is something, you lose that effect when zero'ing your text.

And of course the next question will be to add 'off-topic' tags. So you can have threads filled with spoiler buttons allover the place, and 100 posts in a row with 'off-topic' tags.

IMO, I think they sound a like bad idea, like they have advantages but I also think people will misuse them on constant basis!

Don't 'think' that, it's a 'fact', they are constantly used and abused where they are available.
