oh, you mean one post after another, I thought you meant 2 of the same posts (like WFH is famous for). Anyway, that's not such a big deal. Calm yourself, young one.

krazer0, you have absolutely no need for that. Why would anybody care about their post # anyway? To get a title? I'm pretty sure the 1000 and 5000 posters will be something like "Super Nerd" and "Get a Life"

They're not......though at game hippo, we get big orange stars after a thousand, but we sort of call them "my big orange star of demotion" to give it a negative sense....I've got two of them, 200 more and I'll have 3

In all the specs you guys have, anyone out there have a MACH 1 (yes one) Joystick? it had a tan base with two black buttons....ohh the black buttons....OH and a short joystick that you could use to track things 10x better than a mouse. That is by far my favorite DOS joystick..... Sadly the only place I can seem to find it to purchase is in Japan or Germany. Yea, like I’m going to send my money out that far…..wait…what money
DOS Machine Setup
CPU: Pentium 200 (non mmx)
Memory: 64 megs of RAM (100 nanosecond DIMMS)
Sound: Original (like 1992) Sound Blaster 16 ^I will NEVER Throw this baby away!
Video Card: Diamond Stealth Viper 16 megs
Video Monitor: (1993) Compaq SVGA (They made good monitors back then)
Hard Drive: FAT 16 10 GB Hard Drive
Partition: C:\ 2 GB D:\….I forgot.

Never heard of that joystick, do you have a picture of it by chance?

The 2 joysticks I use the most for dos machines are Logitech Wingman for flight sims and Gravis PC gamepad for shooter types.

If your happy with it, thats all that counts. I prefer 1024x768 for FPS type games, 1280x1024 for RTS. Older games only did 800x600 or 640x480 and they were playable at the time.

I built my computer in January 2002, so it's getting a bit slow, but here are the specs:

Windows 2000 w/SP3
AMD Athlon XP 1600+
512MB PC133 SDRAM
80gig 7200 RPM and a 20gig unknown RPM
TDK 24x burner
a 5 1/4 inch disk drive that still works!
a 3.5 inch disk drive
Hercules Kyro2 video card with 64MB RAM
Sound Blaster 5.1
