Virtual Pc

Post by Mr.Guimo »

Hey!
I´v tryed to install a game called Lurid land. The game cannot run with DOSBox and it´s impossible to get it running on Windows Vista ( HOME PREMIUM), so i tryed a program called Virtual Pc. The sickest thing is that the program support all Vista exept HOME PREMIUM...so the question is:
Do you guys know any kinda program that´s working as good as Virtual Pc does, but with the support for Home premium as well?

/Thanx

You could try Virtualbox.
http://www.virtualbox.org/

But before you do that:
Did you at least tried to install VirtualPC?
It says for several XP/Vista that it isn't supported, but can be installed anyway and runs fine on them.
The warning message can easily be overruled.

Also be sure to have the correct VPC version, 32-64bits are different.

[Edit]
BTW, there is also VMWare
http://www.vmware.com/products/player/
But I can't help you further with VMWare or Virtualbox, left those years ago, as VPC is the best thing around for W95/W98 games that won't run in Vista.

You really should try to install VPC, I have asked around and it works indeed on Vista premium, even if you get that warning message when installing it.
