Better upgrade to 0.73.

Improved compatibility, improved CD mounts, better graphics, improved sound ... etcetera etcetera ....

:)

If I remember correctly, when you install a new version of DOSBox by default it doesn't touch your old version, so after installing in Program Files you'd have both (assuming you kept the default install directories):

Program Files/DOSBox-0.72
Program Files/DOSBox-0.73

Indeed, no need to uninstall/delete older versions.
They don't interfere with each other.

Just one important remark:
Do NOT use/copy... older dosbox cfg files in newer versions, or vice versa. Each has their own specific settings.

Arf arf arf .....

Let's see pumpkin.
If \oldgames\ is empty ..... you should move your dosgames in it, shouldn't you?

Let us suppose you want to play keen4,
You should have a c:\users\owner\oldgames\keen4\ folder when you look in Windows.
So when you run dosbox and input:

cd keen4
keen4e

keen4 would launch.

***********************************************************
I get the distinct feeling you still don't understand the whole virtual C: idea .....
Let me try to explain -(once)- again:
In Windows you see:
c:\users\owner\oldgames\keen4\

But in dosbox things change, dosbox can not see
c:\users\owner\oldgames\keen4\
Dosbox can only see:
c:\keen4\
because c:\users\owner\oldgames\ is mounted as virtual C:
and dosbox can only see/read/write in the virtual C; folder.
That's the whole concept.

OH You must love it when i am back
:D
Ok i will move everything in to oldgames
It says to me
that is i move the dosgames or delete them etc
some of the programs will not work?
why does these things want to confuse me more
So do i do that anyway
and no i dont understand any of this anymore
it is all quite confusing just love it when the games work
so I will wait for your reply before i go moving anything around
before i end up with nothing at all
you know me that isnt hard to do

Once again:
You mount c:\users\owner\oldgames\ as virtual C: ?
Dosgames folders must be in there.
Dosbox will only read/write on the folders that are in there.
:)

Capiche?
I'm not talking about ISOs you eventually have, that's another matter.

[BTW Edit]
If your games are now in c:\users\owner\old games\ why don't you simply delete the empty oldgames folder and rename \old games\ to \oldgames\ ?
Tip: to rename a folder in windows, highlight it and hit F2.
Mind the tipooz!
[/BTW Edit]
