Thanks for another great review! :)

Is it me, or do the ships shown here have a similar shape to Pyro GX from Descent?

Jesus Christ!hehe

Don't quote me on this however I think I might have met him and his wife.

It was twenty or thirty years ago around the time of a bodybuilding show.

He was visiting and invited and we ended up chatting.

I was only 19 years old at the time and won my first bodybuilding show.

Anyways you think I'm joking however I played the Christian song at show.

In any case, it might be a different guy.

However if it is the same guy he has a wife.

So don't think he is a bad guy or anything.

That is his strength.

I’ve just discovered the 1992 MegaDrive/Genesis port of Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, the action game, and I was positively impressed by this upgrade from the 1989 original home computer versions that I’ve played so much back then!
So, are you ready for some platforming action?...

While cleaning and reorganizing things on my renewed room, I was hugely struck by nostalgia when I was going through my collection. So many memories flashed right away through my mind, and I just sat and played some of my personal favorite video games on the systems that I have plugged in and ready to play.
Enjoy!

This game was released in October of 1986. Two months earlier, in August, Metroid was made available in Japan for the Famicom Disk System. In September, and also for the Famicom Disk System, Akumajou Dracula – aka Castlevania – was, as well, released in Japan. So, unknowingly, The Sacred Armor of Antiriad gave birth to the metroidvania subgenre.
Let's take a look!

33 years ago there was this little thing that, in Europe, revolutionized the home computer business! People were accustomed to black and white graphics and the ZX Spectrum came to the rescue with its rainbow motif!
Let’s take a quick look at its origins and point out my 26 favorite games on the system from this early model to the later ones!

I really enjoy learning that others are super-talented.

I keep thinking my Borland Turbo Assembler 4.1 is something special.

Then I look at all these games and see 3D graphics that is a miracle!

I guess you have to start from nothing.

It's cool.

I don't want to take the attention away from anyone.

Great review by the way.

I really like the TRON 3D segment.

I can only do pixels right now with Borland Turbo Assembler 4.1.

So maybe I could get a dot out or two with God's blessings!!!!!!!!!!!! hehe

Blessings to God and his mother Mary and his son Jesus#!!

Then blessings to my real mom Huong Thi Vu.
She always tells me little by little you get better with practice.

Honours to my real dad Nguyen Binh Thuy.
I know he's kind of not satisfied with me being a programmer.
However Engineering is a hard degree to obtain.

Honours to my real mom Huong Thi Vu.
She is the nice one.
She always makes sure I treat people with love and kind attention and such.

Love to my real brother who is really my cousin Carl Anh Cuong Cao Vu.
He gives me what he could without spoiling me haha

Thanks to all the people and obviously to you for keeping me humble.

I really had to laugh at myself that I thought I was the King of Programming.

Fantastic reviews! I'll have to add those games to my want-to-play list; many of them I'd not seen. (What, no Head over Heels? :)) I picked up a ZX Spectrum last year (or the year before?) but I never got it working very well. I played around with emulation some, and then earlier this year picked up a DivMMC EnJOY! SD -> ZX Spectrum loader to give it another try. That's a cool toy!

But haven't really gotten to use it yet because I still can't get my PAL ZX Spectrum to display sufficiently well on any Monitor/TV I've got here in NTSC US-land. Off hand, you wouldn't have any hints or suggestions from your experience? I've got some things in progress (like attempting hdmi via scart from composite), but they are all somewhat sketchy in theory. (And yes, I've done the composite hack, just still a PAL composite problem on my NTSC TVs! Most hacks seem to be Europe based, imagine that!) I've got the original spectrum, so I know later models and options have better video out - but then you lose that "real ZX Spectrum" feel I was looking for! :P

And another related toy, I just picked up a MIST FPGA "reimplement 8bit computers" computer, and it has a ZX Spectrum option I was able to get a game running on last week. That's lots of fun and hooks up to modern hardware if you have the interest and resources. Still working to get Atari ST & Amiga working fully on it, have had partial success.

Lots of ZX Spectrum fun! :)

Hey @Quadko, I've got a VGA to PAL/NTSC converter thingy. If you're interested let me know. No charge for you. Let's just say I'm paying a PAL back (get it hehe)

Once you let me know I have to go to higher-uppers and see if I can send it.

One way of course so your choice.

I was originally going to use it for my security cameras, but the 5V USB plug is missing which you could probably get from RadioShack.

Anyways for all the help you've given me over the years its your's, but you've got to let me know so I can ask for permission to release it.

Just for you Quadko my man. hehe

Well since my mom and I are on welfare it is really up to her.

I've tested it out and it's not working so far.

Not sure if I overloaded it by connecting it to a 12V source.

Supposed to be 5V, but might be better to trash it? hehe

Tried a more times than I'd like and it didn't work.

No worries, thanks for the offer! I've seem some bad reviews of certain PAL>NTSC hardware, so have avoided some of them. Was looking for something like that suitable for games, and not just TV/movies. I've got one solution "in progress", as I said, and more to try after that.
