last release was done a few months ago, shame really as I believe progress could be made on it by someone with coding skills

You could play in Dos on telly with the first computers.

Hardly a modern technic, and you certainly don't need a crappy PSP for that...........
Any old 286 performs better than a PSP.
:P

Why should I?
There is no reason to do it.

Of course as you're on a Mac Wally, it's understandable that you are amazed by the powah of the PSP, and the dosbox performance on it.

But I'm on PC .......

Of course it does. :)

So the question is:
Why bother with a crappy PSP to run dosbox?

Must be enough to emulate a 286, nothing more.
In fact even a crappy 286, hardly.
....... DOSBox also emulates CPU:286/386 realmode/protected mode, Directory FileSystem/XMS/EMS, Tandy/Hercules/CGA/EGA/VGA/VESA graphics, a SoundBlaster/Gravis Ultra Sound card for excellent sound compatibility with older games...
Maybe the next PSP will carry a bit more basic powah, then it will become interesting to run dosbox on it, not as it is now.

Portability for the only purpose to be portable and crappy is still worthless.
