Now yeah, if there is no space left dosbox can't install games, isn't it.....?
A 2 GB USB key 'should' be enough for dosgaming.... 'should'.
Begin with deleting all your downloaded files (if they're on it) ...
What you
eventually can do:
Delete the ISOs and run the games from CD t'll you get your PC back.
Copy the CDs with ImgBurn ..... and use the backup disks.
When you get your PC back you can easily recreate the ISOs.....
Or buy a 4GB USB, but you will also fill this one up .....
About KQ7: If you mount the image correctly it will work (if you have enough space left). The game installs some 112MBs worth of files if you take full install.

Probably, yes.

Let us keep USB stuff in the USB topic and try not to mix 20 subjects in one topic, or it will become really confusing ......
Fact is, as long we have a Sue we will live interesting times ...

Your mount lines?
Without any details it will be hard to help you ......

here another problem
imgmount d "c:\users\owner\isos\kquest7.iso -t iso
mscdex installed
d:
install
accept these changes and begin installatiion
3 full install
c:\sierra
kq7dos
and the game has started which is good right
but
now when i want to play it next and exit here
I can do the imgmount again
and do
cd sierra
kq7dos
right?
but as you say in the kquest7 how to
edit the
To make your life easy:
Locate kq7dos.bat in your virtual C: folder, subfolder sierra.
Rightclick on it and choose 'edit'
Code:
@echo off
cd \sierra\kq7dos
call CheckCD D
@if exist vesadrv.bat call vesadrv.bat
C:\sierra\kq7dos\sierra -o C:\sierra\kq7dos\resource.cfg
:end
cd
I cannot open the sierra file
I have a sierra\ kq7dos folder
but cannot open it either
help
so maybe i should leave it as it is
and just do the imgmount everytime i wanna play
I always find too many problems

You don't make any sense with such post.
"
Cannot open"? What does prevent you to open it?
Does you compy runs away from you?
Does it explodes?
Does it vanishes into another dimension?
Does your compy begin to dance the French Cancan?
Maybe it would be helpfull if you state WHAT you do to trying open that file.

i cannot not open the sierra folder
I right click on it and press open
to edit the file
and it wont
so obviously i have done something wrong again
If I go into the kq7cd.bat folder
and there is nothing only the imgmount lines
so i dont know what to do
so I wont worry about it
but will just start from the game from the cd
so i opened dosbox
c:\cd sierra
c:\sierra
and then i input
c:\sierra\kq7dos
c:\sierra
so the game still wont start up now
so what am i supposed to put
comes up

Sorry pumpkin, your post still doesn't make any sense.
Sorry.
Let's try to solve this step by step shall we?
Can you do the imgmount with the CUE file?
Do you get the mscdex blabla message?
That's the first step.
If that works, make a screenshot after you input dir /w whilst on your C: prompt, ok?

I am sorry i am trying so hard to explain this
i even tried to copy to send to you but it wont allow me to do that either
yes i inputted
imgmount
and i get the mscdex message

Nice.
Your next inputs on your C:\ prompt:
cd sierra
kq7dos
That should get the game running.
*crosses fingers now*

no it didnt work still
i do the imgmount
mscdex
c:\cd sierra
sierra\kq7dos
sierra
it just comes back to
sierra
why doesnt it start???????
i saved my game yesterday
am still trying to work it out

Isn't the same as:
dosraider wrote:cd sierra
kq7dos
Is it?
[Edit]
If it's still not running:
after the
cd sierra with the dosboxprompt on
c:\sierra\ do a
dir /w and take a screenie.
Maybe you installed it ..... euuuuu ... maybe you screwed up the install, but I really wouldn't know how you did that.

yes i know it isnt the same
but how do you make it
when it comes up with
c:\cd sierra
c:\sierra
so then i put in kq7dos
which looks like this c:\sierra\kq7dos
and it comes up with
c:\sierra again
so i cant just put in kq7dos
see what i mean its not my fault
but here is the link to the directory

ZOMFG !!!!
What have you done?
That's how it
should look:
Do you see the differences?
You miss a lot of files and some subdirs in your c:\sierra.....
My advise to you:
Delete (whilst in windows) c:\users\owner\dosgames\sierra\ folder and start over from scratch.
Or if you still have KQ7 on your USB stick:
delete c:\users\owner\dosgames\sierra\ folder and copy the whole \sierra\ folder from your USB stick to c:\users\owner\dosgames\, with a bit of luck the USB installation of KQ7 is still OK.
How did you lose all those files?

well dont ask me i am just an amazing person i reckon
i had the game running the other day when i installed it
so the files must of been there
I told you there is a ghost or something in this computer cant believe it is still running
OK i will do what you say and let you know what happens

whoops
I did what you said
i deleted the sierra folder from windows
and put on the usb key sierra onto windows into dosgames
then tried it on dosbox
just got the same thing as last time
but then i did dir/w wow it is completely different again
so maybe i should just delete the whole thing if i can find all the files
and start from scratch download the cd again etc
