Hello all.
I have now completed Jill of the Jungle, Episodes 1, 2 & 3, with a little difficulty, but now I would like to know if there is a way of getting the music from the games in MP3 format.
I would also like to know if there are any fangames out there for me to complete.
Thanks,
Sincerely,
Steele

Scroll down t'll you find Music from Jill I.
It's a zip with the music in midi.
Making MP3s of it can't be that hard with all the convertors you can find on internet.
*Edit
Link removed.
Sorry folks, but as 486_player told me there are some warez stuff linked on that page. I've overlooked those.
So: no can do that link.
You will have to find (google) it yourself.

The music of Jill of the Jungle is in the *.DDT files and it's in CMF format. So get yourself a CMF2MP3 converter and convert them to MP3 yourself.

Thanks both of you, in the end I just used DOSbox's recording function to record it whenever it repeats, then converted the .wav files to .mp3 using Audacity..
Now I'm looking for some fan-made games.. I recently finished Onesimus (Escape from Rome) which was made by ArK, a company whom Epic licensed the engine to, and I just finished Xargon Episode 1 which was made by Epic using an update of the engine. I also emailed Epic Games to see if they would license me the Jill engine but I haven't received a reply yet; I assume that they saw me as a madman because I want a ten-year-old engine.
Eh..

Is based on the Jill engine.
It's even on dosgames:

Wow! What a weird game.. I doubt my mum would want me playing something so... skimpy. However, I believe that is actually based on the Xargon engine which is a mod of the Jill engine. Pity.
I actually emailed Epic Games to ask if I could have a copy of the Jill engine and a license. Response was: "Sorry, we can't help you with this." So I emailed them back, asking for an explanation. "Lost, but not forgotten..
" came the reply. So I guess we won't be having any fangames
very soon.

Hey Buddy, Jill of the Jungle is one of my ALL-TIME favorite games. I grew up playing that game. Anyway, a few years ago I found this thing called JILLEDIT, which let's you create and edit Jill of the Jungle levels.
The editor isn't the best thing in the world in terms of user interface but it was actually pretty sweet because it allows you to see every level map in full (zoomed out) so you can see certain hidden things that and other cool things. I was able to open up walls in the game and make paths to different parts of a level and goto places where I wouldnt normally be able to go. And as well, you can create you're own levels too. All with the jill graphics and everything. Anyway, all I remember was it's called JILLEDIT. Give it a google search and see if you can find it. Maybe you'll find somthing even better that someone else made.

'Vinyl godess from Mars', in fact it's only the name that gives a 'skimpy' impression.
The game is very similar to Jill.

wow, thanks Peter, I downloaded the shareware edition of JillEdit, and I can now edit map tiles easily, but am unable to edit objects or sprites. Thanks anyway, as this is a step in the right direction.

It's an attempt to prevent you from receiving spam. Email harvesters routinely rip email addresses from the web.
Of course, we really should remove or protect the email buttons on the pages too ... guess I'll add that to my to-do list for forum hacks ...

JM2008,
, you have an edit button, use it please, THX.
Don't double post.
About PMs: only registred members can use those.
But you always can check the box besides "Notify me when a reply is posted" as you are a registred member, then you will get an email when someone (a guest ....) post in this topic.
BTW, do you have made some Jill levels ?

It's pretty damn safe if you ask me. So far I haven't gotten a single spam letter. Ever. Not even one. And my e-mail is listed via the e-mail button.
*watches as dosraider signs me up for several thousand gay porn spam lists, chuckling evilly*

I'll agree with what DB says (the safety part, not the gay porn spam part) ... after all not changing stuff is less work for me.

There is nothing wrong with the forum skin, I even like it, a classic skin for a classic forum.
Yours on the other hand ... how's your acne, Wally?
Gayporn,DB? You'd wish, anti-lice products for canines it will be.
