Well I just started my website so yes it is a free host and yes I have a .tk domain but if things pick up then I might consider spending some money on it.
Anyway, the link is
http://potboiler.tk
I basically want a little entertainment website that will focus on story submissions (like people writing their own stories) and if not it will be a place for me to post my own stories. So if you like writing check it out!

Intro page loads fine. I hit 'Skip Intro', and nothing happens.

What browser are you using? If you wait for the intro page without clicking skip, does it reload to the proper homepage?
About the poll, I just put that up and those were the default options. Go register if you want to vote !

People dont like welcome screens..
They just want the content.
Don't fall into that trap
Also web domains are cheap as chips these days.
I got mine both for $7 US for a year from godaddy.us
They take paypal too!

Do you need a credit card confirmed paypal account?
And should I definitely remove the intro page?

I meant I have some money on paypal but the account isn't confirmed. Does it have to be confirmed in order to purchase a site name?

Don't think so, AFAIK, you only have to confirm it to be able to withdraw money from it and make transactions of more than X hundreds dollars.

Also important: There needs to be something on the main page (or a link) that explains what the site is about. If I can't find that in 10 seconds, I leave.

Alright, I've removed the intro page and have added a site description to the part that previously only said "Welcome to Potboiler! Why don't you guys register and submit some content?

Do you still experience problems? Can you copy and paste the problem as well as when it occurs? What page of the site are you on?
Edit: Yeah I'm getting it too now. It must be freehostia problems since I haven't changed anything since last time it worked. It should hopefully be resolved by the morning (for me)
