So they went and made you an officer? And to think, the U.S. Army used to be a respectable organization. :blah: :(

j.k, Congrats on your commission, sir! I'm sure you'll do well.

Mwahahahahahaha

Although, lieutenants in the Army don't "command" per se. We're "platoon leaders," then "company commanders." They give us some time to get adjusted to the big Army.

Essentially I finished my ROTC program at my university, as after I graduated, I commissioned as an officer in the Army.
Essentially, instead of going to a military academy, I got a private degree and earned my commission on my free time. Because, you know, I wanted to enjoy my college experience.

Now I will be chillin' in Maryland.

...I still don't understand. :upset:
I don't know how the military works at all....
Oh wait! You did a private degree at a university and trained in your spare time, so now you are an officer? Is that it?
Finishing uni is enough to congratulate you for, but that sounds like a lot of very hard work and determination well and beyond that, so kudos indeed!!
