Hi I am Santhosh CHRiS aka jackbliss. You may formerly have known me as the quiet reclusive Steve Chris around here. I make some good movies, some bad ones... and some that make you wish you could die just to avoid seeing it.... oh and I sing too but that's a totally different story
On a serious note. We're currently facing a very difficult financial situation at home because my dad recently had a major salary cut and it's upto me to take care of the family for the next couple of months until things get better. I need to make an extra $200 to $300 just to make ends meet. I'm taking up all the freelance work I can find to raise enough money. The worst part is I'm forced to spend the money I had initially saved up for my future Canada education
Anywayz if anyone would like to help out in any way my Paypal email is [email protected] You can find a Paypal box on my site homepage too at http://laughinggames.com
If you don't use paypal you can also mail me a check for whatever amount in favor of Santhosh Christudas to my home address

Thanks for reading all this and really it feels embarrassing to even asking you guys after how much you've supported my crazy works over the years lol.
Also I'm trying to make money of my site but Adbrite pays only $50 every 3 or 4 months. If you can suggest the best ad revenue company other than Google ad sense that would be swell too.

Hey come on guys there's no need to ignore this completely. I totally understand if you can't contribute but even if anyone said something like "I wish I could... but I can't right now" it would really make my day. It's the thought that counts
Also I am open to ideas of the best ad revenue programs to make the maximum profit from your website
The financial situation in my home is pretty bad which is why I even made this post. I'm sorry....

I don't think anyone is 'ignoring' you, it's just that this kind of posts is a bit awkward.
You certainly also got once in while those email with similar demands for financial help, Nigerian princess in trouble, Congolese sham diamonds, whatever and whatnots.....
Not that I say you're a crook, but we don't know you personally, so this kind of begging on a forum..... it's awkward.
The only thing I can say to you is:
If things really get bad in life (and we all had our bad times, believe me), it only can get better, given enough time.
I don't know if it's gonna be easy for you where you live to get things back on track, in fact it's never easy, where ever you live, but maybe you should think about starting over somewhere else, even if it means starting over from nothing.
There are some families living around here from your country, and they all have build a good life for them here, opportunities enough in W-Europe, or in North America, you have relatives over there I believe.
Now yeah, as I said, life isn't easy sometimes .....

Well I've kind of been around here for a long time so I thought I'd explain some of my personal situations with you. Didn't think you would consider me some Nigerian guy sending spam emails lol Oh and it's not really begging as you put it.
Also I've had complete strangers donate money through Paypal sometimes just because they liked one of my flash animations on the web. So really donating a few bucks doesn't mean you have to know the person personally but could mean you just appreciate their work.
Anywayz in a way you are right. I think I came to the wrong place for this kind of help. I won't be bothering you people with stuff like this anymore.
I'm sorry...

Don't be sorry Santhosh. It is normal for you to look for help when you need it, in places that you are familiar with. I'm not sure that Dosraider phrased his reply as well as he intended - i am sure he didn't mean to offend you or make you think that he doesn't care about your situation. He is just being cautious.
I can't offer you much, but on payday i will paypal you what i can spare. I hope everything works out for you and your family. Is there a possibility of something like Dosraider suggested? Re-locating to a place where there are more opportunities for your family?

Thanks so much GAMER. More than donations it's words like that I really need. It's very uplifting to know people in the web community you are familiar with really look out for youGAMER wrote:Don't be sorry Santhosh. In a way I think dosraider is right. I have to just get tougher whatever situation I might be in and rely on my own abilities. For extra cash I am planning to develope the website better and update more frequently to get more ad revenue, get Youtube sponsorship etc.
I am also planning to move to Bombay or Bangalore for now where the pay is much higher than here. As for going abroad it's not as easy as some may think. My friend Vishal wanted to go to Canada to study animation but waited nearly 2 years just to get his visa.

Sorry I don't know of any comparable advertisers to Google ... do they not accept residents of India?
In terms of school, have you considered attending a US/Canadian school via distance? There are several relatively inexpensive schools in the USA which are regionally accredited (the "best" form of accreditation in the US) which offer their degrees via distance.
What kind of degree were you planning on, like what do you want to study?
See this site for info on earning a BA quickly/cheaply via distance:
http://www.bain4weeks.com/
A good message board to investigate is:
http://www.degreeinfo.com
But make sure to read the board before posting because people tend to get a little ticked off when ppl ask q'ns that have already been answered dozens of times

Thanks for the links! Actually I had my mind set up on a university called Seneca which was a reputed and cheapest Animation college in Toronto. My friend is going there this September 14th
http://www.senecac.on.ca/fulltime/ANI.html
I applied a few other colleges too and had already written and passed my IELTS exam and passed it and was about to apply for a Visa for September intake when my passport had to be renewed so I'm planning coming January.
I will look into the forums at degreeinfo.com Hope I won't get them too ticked off
Oh and I used to have Google adsense way back in 2004 to 2005 itself when it first came out but I was just a stupid teenager back then and got carried away. I told my friends to click on all the ads every chance they got. They banned me and my site forever
Adbrite is pretty good but it requires some heavy traffic to really generate revenue. I make about 5 to 8 dollars a month with it
Haha Seneca's main campus is about a 5 minute drive from where I live I've actually taken a course there before.
However it looks like their animation program is through York University, which is considerably further

I'd give as I could... I'm actually struggling a little to make my final payment for college this semester (hopefully the last I'll have to pay for, ever) so I can't really help out at all. I'm eating spaghetti and tuna every night. Maybe in a month or so if you still need it.
This really isn't the best place to ask, though. I mean, hell, we're mostly young people who are so poor the only computers we can afford only run DOS games.
(and then there's that random old guy, and I think he's just here because of his dementia. What's his name again?)

I totally understand Dogbreath! Like I said. I need verbal support more than anything right now to continue following my dreams despite financial difficulty and since you guys are the only people I've known for so long in the internet I thought I'd try here. For now you could loan me some of that tuna. Would help in atleast feeding my cat lolDogbreath wrote:I'd give as I could... Oh and emmzee if I ever move to Toronto I will have dinner at your house sometime... and probably steal your computer like most newly arrived immigrants tend to do
