I downloaded WinQuake as well, and it still won't run. It's couldn't load a gfx.wad file.
Help?

That's what I use, too, and it works fine. Just for some reason all the O's are L's.

You must have Quake 1 to play winquake. copy the winquake files to Quake 1 directory. and run winquake.

or you could just use DosBox

Quake has a problem running through DOSbox.
Your best bet is to dual-boot into Win98SE.
