I recently started a Stephen King/horror book collection. After my first week I have read all of Pet Sematary.IT WAS AWESOME! I really recomend reading any and all stephen king books!

How old are you?
Steven King has written some good stuff, like The Dark Tower trilogy and The Stand but he ran out of momentum in the mid-80s and is pretty dull nowadays.
If you want good horror, read H. P. Lovecraft.

I prefer the classics... see the Poe thread for instance, but King has released a few good books.

I finished Pet Semetary btw. IT WAS AWESOME! I have now started on Cujo ( i saw the movie and i must tell you it was the worst 1 and half hours of my life)

King is kind of too in-your-face horror for me. I also like Poe because he's so subtle.

Stephen King is easily my favorite author of all time. I must admit however that I prefer is short stories over his novels.
Go and read Skeleton Crew. It is easily the book he has ever written.

Not to long ago I bought like 10-15 King books and I think Skeleton Crew is among those, I will read it next.

No, read Lovecraft. Even Steven King says he's the best horror writer of the 20th century.

I have finished 'Samel's Lot it was awesome...but now i have to read another book for my book report, so no stephen king for about two weeks.

I dont hit girls, lol. But I do recommend you read one of his books. YOu should get a short one to see if you like him and want to continue reading his stuff. HE HAS BOOKS THAT ARE ABOUT 1000 PAGES!
