Cogmind author Kyzrati discusses release numbering on his blog in an interesting article.

He also says:

Very cool! Lots more work to do in width, he says, but but the hugely important end-to-end "complete game" length milestone is about to be released. I've played with the early versions some over the last year or two, and it's a fun game, very different.
