As I expected, the OP is a verbatim copy of a post from 2006. This seems like an increasingly common tactic for spammers to masquerade as "legit" users by stealing an old post from the same forum that is likely to have been forgotten by everyone. Expect this to be replaced by a spam wall of text in a few weeks or months.

The only way to spot this is to use the built-in forum search to find the original post. The engine currently limits search keywords to 10 which is not super convenient for this purpose though.

It seems the initial post was also a single posting with no replies or explanation...an early spammer attempt too?

Sometimes it seems to me that back then quite a few users could walk in and make some odd or inane posts, then never use the forums again.

These days, forums are generally frequented by a lot less people who are not spammers or self-proclaimed SEO experts.
