Games for PC

Post by Hiraghm »

Hello,

I have an IBM PC (5150). It has 1mb ram (I think; I know it has 640k and I have some expansion memory on it, but I don't recall if that's to take it out to 640k or 1mb), 10mb HD, hercules monochrome graphics, dual 5.25 floppies, and an original soundblaster card.

Are there any games on DOS Games that are playable on this machine? I would prefer graphical to text, but it would be nice to have something to fool around with on it.

Yes, there are quite a few of them that can be played on that old machine.

Try these ones (I'm pretty sure they're designed to work on the really old computers):

Invaders 1978: http://www.netadelica.com/coding/inv78/inv78-02.zip
NYet (Tetris): ftp://ftp.uni-mannheim.de/systems/msdos ... nyet11.zip
Cribbage Solitaire: http://students.cna.nl.ca/~na010894/cribsol2.zip
Letter Targets: http://students.cna.nl.ca/~na010894/letter10.zip
Diamond Grabber: http://students.cna.nl.ca/~na010894/dgrab11.zip
Diamond Grabber 2: http://students.cna.nl.ca/~na010894/dgrab2.zip
Star Goose: ftp://ftp.leo.org/pub/comp/os/dos/games/action/sg.zip

Also here for some other games which will more than likely run on your 5150:

If you want more than that, let me know.
