Virtuoso

Post by HelpMeFindIt »

I'm looking for the legal demo version of a old 3D shooter named "Virtuoso" by Movietime/Elite. The file size should be about 1.3MB. I've searched through Google and some file collections and just can't locate itany where. There is mention of a demo on Usenet from 1994 and it was on the March 1995 issue of PC Gamer.

Here's the info from Moby Games:

Well, there is the full version available at HOTU ... but since you specified the demo I spent awhile searching for it, and I can tell you quite conclusively that its not on the web. At least, my 1337 searching skillz weren't able to find it.

So ... you can either download the full (floppy) version from HOTU:

Or you can buy the full version on eBay for $3 :)

Since I see that you're in Canada (we Canadians have to stick together eh) here's the eBay.ca link:

CDAccess has some new copies too, but it goes for $18.99 there

Wow. Thanks for the quick replies.

Yup, I knew it was on HOTU but I'm looking for the demo version. I'm not into abandonware and I just wanted to see how bad it was. I'm sure the one demo level would give me all I'd ever want to see, but I thought it'd be nice to add to the old MSDOS demo collection I'm starting.

ok, I read the discription. I don't need to play it to give it the good ol' R rating... R for retarded.

Yes, but that's why I'm looking for it. I want to see how bad it is. Once I saw the ad in PC Gamer with the metal dude who looks like a sasquatch, I just knew I had to check it out for a good laugh. Bad games can be "fun" too.

Unfortunately those "full demos" aren't demos as all but rather the full game.

just take the full game, play the first level, then delete it. It's basically the same as taking the demo.
