How do you get sound to work in mario?

Which Mario?
What OS are you using?
What are your system specs?
Which sound card are you using?

We need some more info here.

to be perfectly honest you aint missin anything. You could try emulating the sound via dosbox.

You need a PC speaker to get mario to work properly.
