When I play Fate of Atlantis or Day of the tentacle the games freezes after a few seconds of speech.
I know about ScummVM, and have used it serveral times.
The fact is that I am playing my dosgames on true hardware, a 200mhz, 64mb memory and cirrius logic graffic.
I run in pure dos with 609 kb of conventional memory free.
How do I solve the freeze problem without using Scumm??..

Make sure the sound is set up correctly I guess.

Call me silly, but what do you mean by "true hardware?" I didn't know you could run a computer on "phony hardware"
If you mean that you are not a version of Windows that emulates DOS then say that. Does the game work if you turn the sound off? The first rule of troubleshooting is to find out what works and what doesn't.
You say that you "have done everything," but yet when you enlist our help you assume we know what you've done. We don't have a personal history with you. Give us more details about how you've tried to make your computer work with this game.

By true hardware I'm pretty sure he means he's running this on an actual DOS machine.
