Classic Gaming Convention?

I've always thought that there should be some kinda convention/symposium dedicated to new and old games in the classic style. I know I'd wanna go but I'm curious about what people here would think about it.

If there was a classic gaming convention would you go? How far would you go to get there? Would you pay anything? Would you want to hear from or see current game developers?

Just a thought

Nope, if I wanna discuss games there are enough friends to gather, and we can get drunk at home without having to drive back.

To fair, but not to other country. Everyone takes his/her own cump with him/her. Too bad it's impossible.

Well I was thinking like a locally held less commercially backed version of E3. And would you really wanna organize people you already know just to tell each other things you'd already expect?

Already exists ... Classic Gaming Expo:

Unfortunately all the info on there is about the previous (2005) expo. Pictures from it (no, they're not my pictures, I've never been):

There's probably other classic gaming conventions out there, but this is prolly the most well-known, although the focus here is mostly video games and non-DOS computers (like old Apples and C64s).
