win XP users who like playing old DOS games, set up a multi booting system with Win 98 its worth it.
Win XP can NOT run DOS4GW games, but setting up a multi boot with win 98 is an instant fix to this. I now have games like Euro96 working on my p4 computer.

I agree.
It's not hard to do either. If you own a copy of Windows 95 or 98 (or ME, if you must) and a copy of XP then proceed as follows.
1/ Backup all important files and data.
2/ Boot with boot floppy.
3/ Format hard disk.
4/ Create two (or more) partitions.
5/ Install Windows 95 or 98 (or, if you're really stubborn, ME).
6/ Install XP and tell it to put itself on the second partition.
XP will then provide you with a boot menu every time you start your computer. Sensible people will then choose Windows 95 or 98 (not so sensible ones can choose ME, if they absolutely insist on it). You can then play nearly any game you want!

ME sucks. Even with dos4gw games. It plain sucks. 98 is better, believe me.

I agree. But I didn't want to offend anyone.

Why would you ever choose ME, XP is better at game play and more stable than ME... Deffinately keep 98 around....
M$ is trying tooooooo hard to get us on the flavor of their months,....

Yes, MentaR, there is. You need something called a Boot Manager. This will allow you to install as many operating systems in whatever order you want.
BUT they are powerful magic and, if you get it wrong, you will overwrite your XP install or have a similar disaster.
I use BootItNG-
but it's shareware (i.e. you have to pay for it).
Ranish is a good free one. Do a search for it and you should find it.
But do read all the documentation and web advice you can find and fully understand its operation before trying it. These things are
really powerful and, if you don't know what you're doing, they can really mess up your system. Don't say I didn't warn you...
98 after XP

it is best practice to install oldesty first but .... if you install 98 to a seperate Hard drive you will probably get away with it, but you must boot to a disk (floppy) and make a recovery disk for XP first, too (jst in case) and you may end up editing you r boot ini file....

Why would anyone be offended? (Well, maybe Microsoft shareholders... it sold a lot because it was "Millenium" edition)

Here's another idea for the partition problem and less dangerous than previously mentioned solutions. Get a program called partition magic and you can adjust your partitions without having to format your hd.
another option is to get a second hd for 98 - install it, then boot with a 98 boot disk - go to the drive with 98 on it and boot up that way. I know how you feel about repartitioning a working drive with all my info on it and I wouldn't do it.
