ElectroMan

Post by snake_logan »

For those of you who know this game/games, I'm playing the full version of the game (no I didnt steal it; developper released it as freeware :-P) that was published by Epic in 1994, not the Electro Body version published by CDV Software. In the game you occasionally pass by these orange marker things that take all your gun food away and then when you die, you start there the next time. Other than that, is there any way to save your game, and then re load the same game later? There don't seem to be any in game instructions.

If I remember well, you could NOT save in the sharewareversion.
You could however save / load in the FULL version.
It saves / loads by F-keys, you will have to find out by yourself, also some F-keys are used to enable/disable sound- joystick.
Think only the F1 to F8 that were used, not sure anymore.

When you saved the game a floppy icon was shown, same when you loaded.
Try your Function keys out, and if ( IF ! ) you have the full version you will find something there.

[EDIT]
Thought you could only load a game from those marker points, no matter where you saved the game, you always load from the last marker you passed.

Even if I can only load from the last marker that'd be cool. I've just now opened dosbox and figured it out. F2 saves, then on the title screen, instead of pressing fire (space) to continue, hit F3 and like you said it loads from the last marker passed.
