I found a nice program for astronomy lovers,it is a simulation of a planetarium.
Here is the homepage of it:

http://www.asynx-planetarium.com/index.php

I believe you will like it,personally i find it very interesting.
Download it and try,it is free.
It is interesting to see wich stars you can see from your position on a clear night sky.
Let me know do you like it....

It's not astronomy the one that's dorkish... it's the dedicated star thing that's dorkish!

I mean it's almost like buying land on the moon, except you're not scammed(unless the software is infected by spyware) It just serves no actual purpose!

I'll leave this open, but in the future, post stuff like this in Random Internet Findings. Thanks! :)

Yeah, I always plan on using stuff like this, but it seems that there's hardly ever a clear night sky around here... always so damn cloudy. :(

We get the same thing here, yesterday it was raining, today it was overcast then hot in the afternoon, tomorrow is predicted to be really hot, then it’s meant to rain until mid next week. So most nights I just don’t bother even trying, though I do live in the mountains so I could probably get a great view on a clear night.
