Boboli the Mighty Knight is a Gauntlet type game which doesn't quite capture the appeal of the game it's aiming to emulate. You are Boboli and you must fight skeletons, blobs of green slime, and other enemies on your way to kill an evil wizard or something. Like Gauntlet, there are "generators" which make more enemies until they're destroyed. The game's pre-rendered graphics look decent (and fit well into the then-trendy style in the mid-90's) but there are no sound effects or music. The gameplay is not great, with enemies rushing you as you wander through large but bland areas searching for where to go or what to do. You will level up as you kill more and more of them. There are different items to find and use but the controls feel a bit clunky trying to do so, or even to know if you're hitting the enemies which take multiple hits to kill. Multiplayer is available but only via direct COM port connection. Full source code in the C language is included.
