New DOS games are still being created in 2024! Fukuoka Wings is a text-mode airline business simulator inspired by a Commodore 64 game from 1983 called High Flyer. You must purchase new airplanes for the tiny fictional Fukuoka Wings airline in order to increase their profits. Each year you'll see whether you earn more money or not. It's a pretty simple game but Quickbasic source code is included so you can improve it, and the author plans to produce an improved version in the future.
