Maximus is an empire-building strategy game set in the time of the ancient Roman empire. It uses text mode and is single-player only. The aim is to capture 20 cities, incorporate them into the Roman empire, and construct monuments to the glory of the emperor. To accomplish this you'll need to carefully budget your resources towards commerce / trade, war, construction, etc. Unfortunately full instructions are only available with the registered version of the game, so you'll need to figure out a lot of what you need to do and how you'll need to do it for yourself!
