Starfire (not to be confused with the other DOS game named Starfire) is a single-screen space shooter ala Space Invaders or Galaga. This game was developed in QuickBasic and features a cool introduction animation sequence showing off some impressive graphics. The actual game is more mundane, with only a couple of enemies on the screen at a time and PC speaker sound effects, although you can collect a few different powerups for your ship. Your ship's bullets / lasers behave a bit oddly, if you are moving they will shoot diagonally. Overall it's a decent game especially for one made in QB! (Source code is included.)
