Gunmetal is an impressive but not terribly well-regarded 3D shooter / Mech-type game. This demo version (there are actually two demos with different levels in each) provides an introduction to the game's mechanics. You can choose to outfit your mech however you want before each stage. The game takes place in a sci-fi setting 300 years in the future, and there are are a variety of locations that you visit as well, including cities and alien ruins. Generally the graphics are decent; there is even a 3dfx option which I didn't try to get running in DOSBox, but it's likely quite doable. Definitely worth checking out for fans of this sort of game. Note that in order to hear sound, vanilla DOSBox 0.74-3 won't work, you will need to use a fork like DOSBox Staging or DOSBox-X to hear the sounds & music.
