Math Assault I: Word Problems is ostensibly a kid's edutainment game which aims to teach children math via word problems. The target age is grade 2-7 (so kids age 7 to 12). There are different modes, first a platforming mode with decent enough graphics but poor controls, and then a boring math word puzzle quiz mode. You are asked simple math problems in word form, using the game's theme of an ancient Greece-like setting. There is a long text-heavy introduction that must be endured before getting to the actual game, which I imagine most kids would be unlikely to wait through. The game does offer voice samples, but that setting doesn't seem to work in DOSBox.
