DOSGames.com Review: Rating: 2
Mutant Earth is a game that clearly takes inspiration from popular shareware platformers, perhaps most notably Duke Nukem II and Bio Menace from Apogee. Unlike these classic from Apogee, however, this game lacks a lot of polish. Although it has decent graphics and sounds, the controls and generally glitchiness of the engine drag down the gameplay. The first enemy you encounter can't be shot; it's too short to shoot even if you're ducking. Not a good start. Other enemies are too hard to hit with your tiny bullets. You may get stuck in walls, or die for reasons unknown. Seems like there's a decent game in here, or at least with a little more polish it would be!
